Pricing
How much does a Matterport 3D scan cost in San Diego?
Scans are priced by square footage: $249 up to 1,500 sq ft, $349 for 1,501–3,000, $449 for 3,001–4,500, $549 for 4,501–6,000 and $649 for 6,001–7,500 sq ft. Above that it's $649 + $0.08 per sq ft over 7,500 (10,000 sq ft = $849), $2,049 + $0.06 per sq ft over 25,000, and $3,549 + $0.05 per sq ft over 50,000. Each extra building is 60% of the base price for its own size (minimum $99).
What costs extra?
Exterior scans, extra buildings, rush, Saturday or after-hours scheduling, extended hosting and exports (E57, CAD, BIM, MatterPak, floor plans, TruePlan) are added as their own lines, and travel is charged for sites more than 30 driving miles from Poway. Six months of hosting is included.
Do you charge for travel?
No travel fee within 30 driving miles of Poway, CA. Beyond 30 miles, travel is $0.75 per mile round trip for the miles over 30. Example: a site 55 miles away one way is 25 × 2 × $0.75 = $37.50. Large jobs needing more than one site day (one day per 30,000 sq ft scanned, or per 8 estimated field hours on exterior sites) are charged travel for each day.
What does a return visit to add to an existing model cost?
$149 or 75% of the base price for the added area, whichever is higher, plus travel.
What does a re-scan of the same property within 12 months cost?
15% off the scan.
What does a cancellation under 24 hours or no access on arrival cost?
$99 plus travel.
Turnaround
How long does the scan take on site?
Scanning a roughly 2,000 sq ft home takes about an hour on site. The exact time depends on the size, layout and areas being captured.
When will I get my 3D tour?
The finished tour is ready within 24 hours after the scan. If exports are added, delivery can take up to 7 days.
How long do E57, CAD and BIM files take?
Based on Matterport's published processing times: E57 usually 15 minutes to a few hours (up to a day over 10,000 sq ft); CAD about 2–6 calendar days up to 5,000 sq ft; BIM about 2–11 days up to 5,000 sq ft, longer for large or complex scopes.
Files and accuracy
What file formats can you deliver?
A Matterport 3D tour link, E57 point cloud, BIM (Revit) model, 2D CAD drawings, MatterPak (OBJ mesh, XYZ point cloud, reflected ceiling plan) and schematic floor plans.
Which file do I need for Revit or AutoCAD?
E57 if you want the full point cloud to model from, the BIM file for a ready-made Revit model, and the CAD file for 2D drawings.
How accurate is a Matterport Pro3 scan?
Matterport specifies ±20 mm at 10 m. That suits as-built documentation, design and space planning. It is not a replacement for a licensed survey.
Can you scan outdoors and building exteriors?
Yes. The Pro3 works outdoors in direct sunlight, and E57 exports can use its extended range of up to 100 m.

What areas do you serve?
All of San Diego County, including La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Poway, El Cajon, Chula Vista, National City, Julian and Borrego Springs.
How does a scan day work?
We confirm the time and on-site contact, check in when we arrive, walk the space, then scan room by room, and outside if ordered. After we leave, the model is processed and we send the tour link and any files you ordered.
How should I prepare the property?
Turn on lights, open interior doors, clear clutter from floors and counters, and keep people and pets out of the rooms being scanned. For as-builts, make sure we can get into every area you need documented.
Do you work with permit expediters and contractors?
Yes. We take scan requests directly and through permit expediters, design-build firms and reality-capture companies.
How do I book a scan?
Get an instant price with the quote tool, then pick a first and second choice time on the Book a Scan page, or suggest your own. It's a request: we confirm by email and send a calendar invite.
Is there a premium for Saturday scans?
Yes. Saturday scans add 20% of the scan subtotal, with a $100 minimum. The booking total updates automatically when a Saturday time is selected, and the Saturday premium does not stack with the after-hours premium.
How is the instant price calculated?
From the main building's interior square footage and our price list, plus any extra buildings, exterior, conditions, scheduling, exports and travel you add. Enter an address and we look up the square footage and lot size, or type them in yourself.
Hosting and payment
Who hosts the 3D tour, and for how long?
Tours are hosted on Matterport, with 6 months of hosting included per model. Extended hosting is $99 per model for 12 more months. Or we transfer the model to your own Matterport account free.
How do I pay?
Clients pay online by invoice after the scan.
